Chorister Carillon: budget-friendly, traditional old-world bell ringing.

The Craftsmanship of Cast Bronze Bells.

Cast bronze bells are prized for their tonal clarity and longevity. While electronic carillons exist, nothing matches the physical resonance of a bell cast from a specialized alloy.

The "Bell Metal" Alloy: All cast bells today are typically cast from a specific ratio of 80% copper and 20% tin. This precise mixture provides the "ring", durability, and quality needed to last for centuries.

The Casting Process: Every bell is handcrafted using a process that has remained essentially unchanged for centuries.

Molding: A "false bell" (a replica) is created and coated in heat-resistant sand to form a mold.

Casting pour: Molten bronze is heated to approximately 2200°F and then poured into the bell mold cavity.

The final task, Tuning: Once cooled and "broken out" of the mold, the bell is tuned on a lathe. Metal is shaved/cut from the interior of the bell on a lathe to tune the pitch to a perfect musical note.

Customization: Designs, inscriptions, and logos can be cast-in (raised/embossed) during the molding process or etched into the surface afterward.

Number of Bells

A Single Bell installation: Provides Call to worship, funeral tolls, and striking the hour.

Bell Peals: 2 to 8 bells Rung in ever-changing patterns for festive occasions like weddings. Four or 5 bells can produce the familiar Westminster melody to mark time and provide an hour strike.

A Bell Chime: 9 to 22. Arranged in a scale to play simple melodies and hymns as well as various liturgical functions for churches.

Cast Bell Carillon 23 or more bells: A complete musical instrument capable of playing complex musical arrangements and all of the above.

Unlike many modern products, a cast bronze bell is an investment meant to be "forever."

While cast bells themselves can last for centuries, the mechanical ringing equipment (clappers, motors, headstocks, and the tower structures that contain them) requires periodic maintenance to ensure safety, proper operation, and sound quality.

Thus, this old-world sound is then sampled (recorded) from these works of man to last forever in a digital environment as below.

From "Age to Age, the sound of cast bronze bells continues to speak to our hearts; they are the voice of the church, town halls, and universities. Now experience the timeless sound of cast-bronze bells digitally in the community you serve with our electronic carillons.
